We did a 9 day trip to Ireland. Started with and ended with Dublin. Rented a car and drove down to Limerick which is around 2.5 hours away from Dublin. Limerick is centrally located and cheaper to stay.
Killarney and Ring of Kerry: Long day at the Ring of Kerry started with Killarney National Park Town where we had lunch and then went to Muckross we didn't actually go to the whole place then we went to the Torc waterfall, it's an okay kind of waterfall nothing exotic the wild Atlantic way it was a bit of a disappointment tried to it's a fairly long drive from Killarney basically just go all around and come back almost to Killarney to come back to Limerick some spots are very scenic and beautiful but hey I mean the Pacific Coast and Twelve Apostles are much more prettier and maybe some spots in South Africa as well so don't believe all the hype about the Ring of Kerry
Long Trip: Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, Kilkiry: We did a long trip around the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, Kilkiry I think. Very nice places, good walks, Cliffs of Moher is really beautiful and nice. The wind is very strong so you need to be careful. Also if you look at it, we've seen the 12 Apostles on the Melbourne side, Pacific coast and now this one as well as the Isle of Skye. And I think this would come in 4th amongst these 3-4 places. So if you're in Ireland it's definitely worth a visit.
A day trip to Galway was nice and worth a visit. Also did day trips to Cork. A visit to Rock of Cashel and Kilkenny Castle was also done enroute.
In Dublin, we visited the Museums (3 of them) and did the Book of Kells tour at Trinity College. We skipped the Guiness and Jamieson tours. A casual visit to Temple Bar as well as St Patrick's Cathedral was also done.
Overall, Ireland has a lot to offer from a tourism perspective, but costs are high and can be a little taxing on your wallter if you pay all the entrance fees.
Note: If you are travelling from London Gatwick and have a Priority pass, please pre-book as the lounges at Gatwick are always busy.
